The roto/paint artist cuts out objects in a filmed image for integration into image processing software. Roto/painting consists of cutting out an object frame by frame in a shot. The rotoscopy and paint are used to create the shot. Roto/paint is used to manipulate graphical objects without affecting the rest of the frame or shot, or to protect the object in a filmed image.
