Montreal, December 11, 2024 – SYNTHÈSE – Pôle Image Québec launches Regards croisés, expériences partagées, a new series of face-to-face meetings designed to highlight the inspiring stories of artists and artisans in digital creation. Immerse yourself in the world of video games, visual effects, animation and digital experiences through these enriching conversations.
An invitation to inspiration and sharing
These exclusive encounters offer an opportunity to discover innovative technical and artistic approaches, while exploring the unique practices of digital artists. Aimed at professionals, students and teachers in the field of digital creation, this series aims to build bridges between a variety of disciplines and points of view, while fostering exchanges around shared passions.
First edition: plunge into the world of stop motion and visual effects
On the theme of collaboration between stop motion animation and visual effects, this first meeting will take place :
When: February 6, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
Where: NAD-UQAC School auditorium (6th floor)
Hosted by Elise Voyer, Senior Project Manager at SYNTHÈSE, this conversation will feature three renowned guests: Martin Lipmann, Dale Hayward and Sylvie Trouvé.
These experts will share their know-how in the fabrication of stop-motion characters and elements, as well as in the creation of spectacular visual effects such as water, fire and explosions.
A behind-the-scenes look
On the program: behind-the-scenes anecdotes, an exploration of technical challenges, and insights into the artistic and creative approaches that bring iconic projects to life in cinema, short films and commercials. An enriching experience to discover the unique alliance between stop motion and visual effects.

- 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm: Conversation on collaboration between stop motion and visual effects
- 7:00 pm: Networking cocktail: The cocktail will be offered free of charge (2 free drinks / person) in collaboration with the bar Le Clébard.
