Student Portfolio Review: A Successful Second Edition for PROFOLIO

Providing Extra Support for Students

Students who did not receive an internship offer during the 4th edition of SYNTHÈSE’s Digital Creation Internship Program (formerly ARRISTAGE) were invited to take part in these portfolio-review sessions.

Gathered in small virtual groups of three to four participants, students had the opportunity to present their portfolios to an industry expert. Each participant benefited from personalized, in-depth feedback on their portfolio presentation, along with practical recommendations directly tied to their specialization.

This initiative aims to highlight students’ skills and strengthen their chances of successfully transitioning into the professional world.

Tailored Sessions for Each Specialization

To meet the specific needs of different fields, five (5) specialization themes were offered:

• 2D-3D Animation – Omar Morsy, Animation Supervisor at Barnstorm VFX

• 3D Modeling, Texturing & Lighting (Environment, Assets, Props, Characters) – JP Flayeux, Associate Producer at Eidos-Montréal

• FX & Simulation (Clothing, Hair, Fur, Pyro, Destruction, Particles, Liquids, Explosions, Crowds) – Benoit Robert, Senior FX Lead at Anomalia Boot Camps

• 2D Environments (Color and Concept Art) – Jimmy Vong, Principal Storyboard Artist at Eidos-Montréal

• Game, Level & UX/UI Design – Gwenael Heliou, General Manager at Kabam

These targeted workshops enabled each student to advance within their specialization and receive actionable feedback to help showcase their artistic talent.
