This program’s mission is to support Quebec’s next generation of creators in video games, 2D-3D animation, visual effects, and digital experiences by promoting hands-on learning in professional environments. Structured as a competition, the program offers students a unique opportunity to complete a 4 to 16 week internship between January and September within a participating studio.
As students face a tighter job market and increased competition, SYNTHÈSE’s internship program plays a crucial role in easing the transition from higher education to professional practice.
SYNTHÈSE warmly thanks all the studios that took part in this 4th edition for their commitment to nurturing new talent in digital creation. Their active participation in the recruitment process provided students with invaluable visibility among potential employers.
Despite challenging hiring conditions, six Quebec studios chose to open their doors to the next generation, proving that collective engagement remains possible even in more difficult times.
SYNTHÈSE extends special thanks to Goose Byte, Les jeux Fineallday inc., SuperSplendide, Sloe Burn Games, Folklore Games, and Studio Shaman (Les 7 Doigts) for welcoming one or more interns into their teams and helping propel the next generation of digital creators.
Even students who did not secure an internship benefited from personalized support designed to foster their professional growth.
They gained access to:
Early access to EXPERTS, SYNTHÈSE’s online training platform;
A personalized portfolio-coaching session as part of PROFOLIO.
Participants received early access to EXPERTS, SYNTHÈSE’s exclusive online learning platform for digital-creation professionals. The platform features a library of specialized courses covering programming, design, production management, and artistic creation.
In addition, six one-hour virtual workshops were offered by industry professionals, covering five key areas of specialization:
2D-3D Animation
3D Modeling, Texturing & Lighting (environments, props, characters)
FX & Simulation (clothing, hair, fur, particles, liquids, explosions, crowds)
2D Environment Art (coloring & concept art)
Game, Level & UX/UI Design
These sessions helped each student refine their specialization and receive actionable feedback to strengthen their portfolio.
This edition brought together:
110 participating students
10 recruited interns from:
1 CEGEP: Cégep de Matane
6 universities: UQAT Montréal, Université Laval, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal, UQÀM, and École NAD-UQAC
