A resounding success for the second edition of studio visits

Montreal, May 2, 2025 – April 23 marked the end of edition 02 of the VISITE TON AVENIR ! project, a series of in-person studio tours aimed at inspiring the next generation of digital creators.

Over two weeks, more than 100 digital creation students from 14 schools and 20 college and university programs immersed themselves in the fascinating world of 20 studios specializing in video games, digital experiences, 2D-3D animation/visual effects, and advertising.

A hands-on immersion in the heart of the creative industry

Through eight (8) tours, spread across Montreal (7) and Quebec City (1), digital creation students were able to explore behind the scenes of creative studios.

Each group, consisting of 5 to 20 students, had the immense privilege of visiting two to three studios in the Cité du multimédia, Quartier des spectacles, Mile-Ex, and downtown Montreal neighborhoods, as well as in the St-Roch neighborhood in Quebec City.

On this occasion, 20 studios warmly agreed to open their doors and offer an inspiring 1 hour and 15 minute tour, rich in exchanges and discoveries.

Among them:

Astrolabe Interactive Inc., Behaviour Interactive, Cinesite, CREO Inc., DNEG, DON’T NOD, GameOn, Gentilhomme, l’Atelier Animation, Les 7 Doigts, Loomi Animation, Ludia Inc., Lü Aire de jeu interactive, Moment Factory, Norsfell, Rodeo FX, SHED, Société des arts technologiques (SAT), Studio Nord Est, Supply + Demand.

“This initiative is very interesting for students. Visiting studios working in various fields allows them to see beyond video games in their most familiar form. It was a pleasure to welcome them and meet these future talents,” said CRÉO Inc. studio.

An ambitious and inspiring project

This initiative helps guide future talent toward their professional future and vocation. By meeting with professionals, students discover the reality of different careers, various career paths, internship and training opportunities, and the diversity of work environments in Quebec.

With VISITE TON AVENIR !, SYNTHÈSE opens a door to the future and invites the next generation to chart their career path with confidence and ambition.

It was a real opportunity for these young people who will soon be entering the digital creation job market and who want to get a feel for the industry to launch their careers. They were able to meet professionals in the sector directly and gain a concrete vision of their future profession. The visits were lively, animated, and very informative,” says Elise Voyer, project manager at SYNTHÈSE.

A passionate and motivated new generation

With over 160 applications, these eight (8) courses were a resounding success. This edition brought together a remarkable diversity of students representing 14 educational institutions and 20 college and university programs.

Among them:

Cégep de Lanaudière à L’Assomption, Cégep du Vieux Montréal, Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, Collège Bois de Boulogne, Collège Dawson, Collège Montmorency, HEC Montréal, NAD-UQAC, UdeM, UQAM, UQAT, Université Concordia, Université Laval

"A totally immersive and inspiring experience—marked by amazing advice, enriching encounters with people who share the same passion, and the discovery of fascinating projects in animation and events—that satisfied my intellectual curiosity and fueled my creativity. A huge thank you to SYNTHÈSE!” says Henri Luc Charles, a graduating student in the Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Animation program at Laval University.

The SYNTHÈSE program is a great project that gives digital design students a glimpse into how the companies they may work for after graduation operate.

These visits are very relevant, because we often study subjects that seem abstract. The visits help to bring everything into focus. They dot the i's and cross the t's.

I really loved this visit; it was a very enriching and exciting experience. A big thank you to the SYNTHÈSE team for these wonderful opportunities; it's really worth participating.
