Over two weeks, more than 100 digital creation students from 14 schools and 20 college and university programs immersed themselves in the fascinating world of 20 studios specializing in video games, digital experiences, 2D-3D animation/visual effects, and advertising.
Each group, consisting of 5 to 20 students, had the immense privilege of visiting two to three studios in the Cité du multimédia, Quartier des spectacles, Mile-Ex, and downtown Montreal neighborhoods, as well as in the St-Roch neighborhood in Quebec City.
On this occasion, 20 studios warmly agreed to open their doors and offer an inspiring 1 hour and 15 minute tour, rich in exchanges and discoveries.
Among them:
Astrolabe Interactive Inc., Behaviour Interactive, Cinesite, CREO Inc., DNEG, DON’T NOD, GameOn, Gentilhomme, l’Atelier Animation, Les 7 Doigts, Loomi Animation, Ludia Inc., Lü Aire de jeu interactive, Moment Factory, Norsfell, Rodeo FX, SHED, Société des arts technologiques (SAT), Studio Nord Est, Supply + Demand.
“This initiative is very interesting for students. Visiting studios working in various fields allows them to see beyond video games in their most familiar form. It was a pleasure to welcome them and meet these future talents,” said CRÉO Inc. studio.
