These exclusive events offer the opportunity to discover innovative technical and artistic approaches while exploring the unique practices of digital artists. Aimed at professionals, students, and teachers in digital creation, this series aims to build bridges between various disciplines and perspectives while promoting exchanges around shared passions.
Focusing on the theme of collaboration between stop motion animation and visual effects, this first meeting took place on February 6, 2025, at the NAD-UQAC School Auditorium.
Hosted by Elise Voyer, senior project manager at SYNTHÈSE, this conversation featured three renowned guests: Martin Lipmann, Dale Hayward, and Sylvie Trouvé.
These experts shared their expertise in creating stop motion characters and elements, as well as in creating spectacular visual effects such as water, fire, and explosions.

On the agenda: behind-the-scenes anecdotes, exploration of technical challenges, and contrasting perspectives on the artistic and creative approaches that bring iconic projects in cinema, short films, and advertising to life. An enriching experience to discover the unique combination of stop motion and visual effects.

SYNTHÈSE would like to warmly thank its partners for their valuable collaboration. Le Clébard, with whom we collaborated to offer two free drinks per person and create a friendly atmosphere during the cocktail party. We would also like to thank the NAD-UQAC School for generously hosting us in its facilities and supporting the event.
