Montreal, June 19, 2025 – Mr. Jean-Jacques Hermans, Chairman of the SYNTHÈSE – Pôle Image Québec Governance Committee, is pleased to announce the appointment of an interim co-director at the head of the organization. Effective immediately, Albane Français and Anne Le Bouyonnec will jointly assume the role of General Managers, succeeding Brigitte Monneau, in a spirit of continuity, innovation and collaboration.

This new interim co-directorship is designed to reinforce SYNTHÈSE’s mission, which is to bring together players from the education sector and digital creation companies across Quebec, in order to take action on training-employment issues. The tandem formed by Albane Français, renowned for her commitment to promoting talent and programs in digital creation, and Anne Le Bouyonnec, with her strategic expertise in the visual and digital arts, will combine vision, agility and complementarity.

“This interim co-leadership is intended to ensure a smooth transition and guarantee the continuity of our strategic and operational activities. It reflects our desire to build a unifying leadership, in the image of the dynamic, interdisciplinary ecosystem we support. In entrusting the reins to Albane Français and Anne Le Bouyonnec, we are convinced that we are putting in place a solid succession, rooted in the values of collaboration, inclusion and excellence,” said Jean-Jacques Hermans, Chairman of the Governance Committee and Executive Director of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec.

“We are honoured by the confidence placed in us by the Governance Committee to assume the role of Interim Executive Director of SYNTHÈSE. The organization is entering its 8th year, and we see the Îlot Balmoral teaching and research cluster project as a unique opportunity to bring together academic and industrial techno-creative forces around the challenges and potential of digital creation in Quebec. By promoting the pooling of research-creation and applied research projects between universities and CEGEPs, and by encouraging networking with businesses, we hope to catalyze innovation, support experimentation and create fertile ground for the pooling of talent and cross-sector expertise,” share Albane Français and Anne Le Bouyonnec.

The Governance Committee would like to warmly thank Brigitte Monneau for her dedication and decisive contribution to SYNTHÈSE’s development. The arrival of this new interim co-director marks the start of a new chapter of opportunity for all our partners, artists, studios, institutions and players in the digital creation field.
