Montreal, June 19, 2025 – Jean-Jacques Hermans, Chair of the Governance Committee of SYNTHÈSE – Pôle Image Québec, is pleased to announce the appointment of an interim co-executive director to head the organization. Effective immediately, Albane Français and Anne Le Bouyonnec will jointly assume the duties of interim executive directors, succeeding Brigitte Monneau, in a spirit of continuity, innovation, and collaboration.
This new interim co-executive directorship aims to strengthen the mission of SYNTHÈSE, which works to bring together stakeholders in the education sector and digital creation companies across Quebec in order to address issues related to the alignment of training and employment. The duo formed by Albane Français, known for her commitment to promoting talent and programs in digital creation, and Anne Le Bouyonnec, with her strategic expertise in the visual and digital arts, will combine vision, agility, and complementarity.

"This interim co-leadership aims to ensure a smooth transition and guarantee the continuity of our strategic and operational activities. It reflects our desire to build inclusive leadership that reflects the dynamic and interdisciplinary ecosystem we support. By entrusting the reins to Albane Français and Anne Le Bouyonnec, we are confident that we are putting in place a solid succession plan, rooted in the values of collaboration, inclusion, and excellence," said Jean-Jacques Hermans, Chair of the Governance Committee and Executive Director of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec.

"We are honored by the trust placed in us by the governance committee to take on the interim general management of SYNTHÈSE. The organization is entering its eighth year, and we see the Îlot Balmoral teaching and research hub project as a unique opportunity to bring together academic and industrial techno-creative forces around the challenges and potential of digital creation in Quebec. By promoting the pooling of research-creation and applied research projects between universities and CEGEPs, and by encouraging networking with businesses, we hope to catalyze innovation, support experimentation, and create fertile ground for the pooling of intersectoral talent and expertise," Albane Français and Anne Le Bouyonnec enthusiastically share.

The governance committee would like to warmly thank Brigitte Monneau for her dedication and her decisive contribution to SYNTHÈSE's influence. The arrival of this new interim co-direction marks the beginning of a new chapter full of opportunities for all partners, artists, studios, institutions, and players in digital creation.
